You are probably here because.... You LOVE to read books on personal growth, self-help, and self-empowerment You want to be more than just a CONSUMER of ideas--you want to be a PRACTITIONER You want to SHOW more fully to your reading and to your life You like having guidance and gentle accountability You want to have a social experience, rather than a solo one
Why a Personal Growth Book Circle?
The Emerge Personal Growth Book Circle offers you the opportunity to move from reading alone to reading in community.
By joining our community you surround yourself with others who are on a similar, yet different journey and who are looking to books to support their development.
By slowing down your reading and connecting with others to share best practices and gain perspectives, you will be better about to integrate the ideas. It's about moving from consuming new ideas, to creating new ways of living and leading.

Questions and Answers:
When are the book circle discussions and guest educator events? The end of book discussions generally are held on the first Tuesday of the following month at 8:30pm CET, 7:30pm UK, 2:30pm Eastern, and 11:30am Pacific. They last 90 minutes.
My aim is to schedule guest speakers/educators at the same time (8:30pm CET), but it is dependent on their schedule.
Are there recordings of the guest events and/or book discussions: Unfortunately, no.
I do not record integration sessions for these reasons: 1) I value CONNECTION and I can't connect with you, nor you with me when you are watching a recording. 2) You can't call in your life, so it's my way of encouraging you to SHOW UP for yourself 3) People are more courageous in their sharing when they aren't being recorded. 4) We often utilized break-out rooms, which can't be recorded.
How are books selected? How long do we read each book? Books are nominated by myself and voted on/ chosen by the entire Facebook community in a democratic fashion. We read each book for 2 months, as the goal is to read deeper, not faster.
What types of books can we nominate? I am open to anything in the realm of personal, professional, and leadership growth, knowing that there is a cross over between all of them. We can't compartmentalize our lives. I would like to avoid anything too religious or political.
For the time I have been a part of your book circle, I cannot express enough the gratitude I feel for being connected in your work space and the growth that has come from your association.
Firstly, the sense of community that you foster, through the authenticity that you generate and garner in your work space is amazing. You are kind, thoughtful, thought-provoking and truly masterful when it comes to garnering authentic connection and sharing. I have also experienced your ability to connect during our coaching, where although some of the aspects were not your daily practice, your depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise really astounded me as worked together to tidy some confusing aspects for me. I thoroughly enjoy your daily thought invocations, related to the books we read, which are, together, very well selected for optimal development. They make me reflect on a broader sense of self but also at the nitty gritty I may need to comb through to get to the vision of myself I see in my mind. This is through your candour in sharing and connecting with us on a very real and very base level.
The value you add, to me, on a daily basis, is truly a blessing and truly I doubt that I could have dusted off my passion for reading; and developed through (what used to be), an intense dislike for 'self help books', were it not for you.
With so much gratitude, Vindina Mitha Port Elizabeth, South Africa
I joined the book circle because I love reading, especially self development books, and wanted to have people I could share it with. I certainly found more then that with the book circle. Theresa is such an inspiration, she doesn’t just read the book but uses and takes those books within her, continually asking questions to awaken the books within us. It’s not just a book circle Theresa has created, but a community for people to grow.
I love how she embraces the book and shares her journey with us. After seeing the changes she made to the book circle after reading one particular book, it prompt me to make some changes in my life which made a great difference to my career. Theresa openness and her sharing of her techniques and what she does with her children and partner has become part of my families techniques.
If you love to grow, have a desire to share what you are learning and want support in doing that this group is for you.

I am grateful that I discovered and joined the book circle. The books are fun, even the ones I might not have finished otherwise. What I like is the honesty and vulnerability that everyone shares. As an introvert, I appreciate that Theresa has created a safe place for growth and community. I can participate as I feel comfortable without pressure from her or other members. She is knowledgable, supportive, and encourages me to look honestly at myself and my growth. She makes time for her commitment to the circle and it's members.

Coach and Facilitator Bio
By combining my first career in education and educational leadership, with my second career as a professional coach, I have a unique perspective when it comes to learning, development, and leadership.
I know first hand, and through the 8 years that I have been coaching and mentoring individuals around the globe, that reading alone won't change your life. Yet, when you combine reading, with community, consistency, and coaching, you move from consuming new ideas, to creating new ways of living and leading.
