"Knowledge without experience is merely philosophy; experience without knowledge is ignorance." ~Dr. Joe Dispenza
6 Reasons A Paid Program Is Right For You:
Reading and listening are passive, whereas writing and conversing are active. When you write about and talk about your reading, you learn more, make more connections, have more "ah-ha" moments, etc.
Distraction is the norm right now, so with weekly exercises or discussions, you will keep focused on your reading and your goals.
The subconscious mind is 1 MILLION times more powerful than the conscious mind, making it very easy to fall back into "old habits" without accountability.
When you are a part of a small group, there are greater levels of trust, you are more likely to be vulnerable, and you are more likely to make significant shifts.
We are more likely to follow through when we have a financial investment due to a phenomenon called "loss aversion."
Motivation is only temporary, whereas education and getting into action is permanent.
Why a book alone won't change anything...
When I hit my "crucible" moment, I knew it. I knew that I needed help to get me through. I had always been a reader, so I did what I knew--I turned to books.
I went to the local Barnes and Noble(when they still existed) and scoured the business and self-help sections looking for any books that I could read that would help turn around my career and my ever-increasingly bad relationship with my manager.
Unfortunately, it didn't help and I was eventually asked to leave because she and I were "like oil and water."
The fact is, I spent hundreds of dollars on books, and countless hours reading them, but I never really got anywhere. It was only later when working with a coach, and becoming a coach that I saw why it didn't work.
The books were great at giving me ideas, and they were also great at giving me an excuse for hiding and not sorting out my situation, while I was busy "learning" and "developing.”
The lack of personal objectivity meant that I never really get a clear view of my situation, I was never challenged to accept my part in the situation. A book couldn't call me out on my BS, help me see my blind spots and limiting beliefs, nor hold me accountable.
What a waste of precious time and energy.
That is exactly what I don't want to happen to you. I don't want you to continue to waste time and energy "learning" and "developing" while nothing outside of you changes. Your brain gets bigger, and your knowledge base expands, but you just spin in circles.
That is why the one of the monthly subscriptions is right for you. They get you into action, or get you talking to help you uncover your blind spots.
